Softer to firmer
and taller to thinner
Two things separate our ranges, and only one of them is firmness. The other is height, and it catches people out. Our mattress store is part of the wider furniture shop in Auckland at Unit 12/46 Hobill Avenue, Wiri.
A Dream Platinum stands 40 cm tall. A Luxe Comfort is 28 cm. That is 12 cm of difference, which changes how high your bed sits, whether your existing fitted sheets still reach, and how easy the bed is to get out of.
Buy the sheets at the same time.Standard fitted sheets often will not stretch over a 40 cm mattress. Deep-fitted is what you need.
Here is the advice we give everyone who walks in. Lie on it for ten minutes, not ten seconds. Bring the pillow you actually sleep on. And lie in your normal sleeping position, not flat on your back like you are at the doctor.

Single Mattress
A single suits younger children's rooms, sleepouts and box rooms where anything wider blocks the door swing. Every one of our ranges is made in single, so you are not stuck with one firmness because of the size. King Single Mattress
A king single is longer and wider than a single, which is why it is the size teenagers ask for and the one parents wish they had bought first. Double Mattress
A double works for guest rooms, sleepouts and studio flats, and it is a common pick for Auckland customers furnishing a minor dwelling out the back. Super King Mattress
Super king is the widest size we make, and it suits large main bedrooms. Two things to check first. Super king bedding is less common and costs more than king. Firm Mattress
Firm suits back and stomach sleepers, and anyone whose lower back complains on a soft bed. Our Dream Firm is 30 cm tall and built around a 5-zone pocket spring system in 2.0 and 2.2 gauge, with 3 cm of convoluted foam, 1 cm of high-density foam, 1 cm of natural latex and 4 cm of super soft foam above it. Dream Plush Mattress
Dream Plush is our hotel-style option, made for people who want to sink in rather than lie on top. Side sleepers tend to prefer it, because a softer surface lets the shoulder and hip drop without pulling the spine out of line. Dream Comfort Mattress
Dream Comfort is the range we point most couples toward when the two of you cannot agree. It is 32 cm tall, with 1 cm of gel memory foam and 2 cm of cloud feeling foam over a pocket spring core. 1 · Ten minutes, not ten seconds
The first thirty seconds tell you almost nothing. Give each one long enough for your shoulders and hips to settle.
2 · Bring your own pillow
Pillow height changes neck angle, which changes how a mattress feels. Showroom pillows are rarely the ones you sleep on.
3 · Lie how you actually sleep
Not flat on your back like you are at the doctor. Curl up on your side if that is what you do at home.
4 · Test it together
If you share a bed, both of you get on it. Partner disturbance is the thing people notice most after delivery.
5 · Check the edge
Sit on the side as if putting shoes on. Reinforced edges are what stop a mattress sagging where you get in and out.
6 · Ask about the height
A 40 cm mattress needs deep-fitted sheets and sits noticeably higher off the floor. Worth knowing before delivery day.
