Potted Coarse Tassel Fern 71cm Hanging

This is a hanging fern rather than a standing one, so the 71 cm figure in the name is the total trailing length from the top of the plant down, not a height you'd measure sitting on a shelf. It's a coarse tassel fern, potted in a small black plastic pot measuring 8 cm high and 9 cm across, which is sized for hanging rather than for a lot of soil or a wide base. The product page doesn't say whether a hook, chain or rope is included for actually hanging it, so it's worth checking with Furniture Tree before ordering if you don't already have something to hang it from, whether that's a ceiling hook, a wall bracket, or a macrame-style hanger. Compared with the upright Potted Boston Fern also sold by Furniture Tree, which sits on a surface, this one is built to drop downward instead, with the fronds trailing below the pot rather than fanning out around it. That makes it a different style choice depending on whether you want a plant on a shelf or something hanging above eye level. Because the trailing length is 71 cm, it needs a decent amount of clear space underneath wherever it's hung, a kitchen window, a bathroom corner, a plant hook on a porch or entryway, so the fronds aren't brushing against a bench, a door, or anything else below. It's worth measuring that drop distance from wherever you're planning to hang it, rather than assuming 71 cm will fit, since the gap under a window sill or shelf is often shorter than it first looks. Being artificial, it doesn't need watering or direct light, which matters for a hanging spot in particular, since those are often trickier to reach for regular care than a plant sitting on a table. An occasional dust, or a light shake to settle the fronds, is generally enough to keep it looking tidy. Furniture Tree's page doesn't specify what the fronds themselves are made from, so if that detail matters to you, it's worth asking before you buy. At 59), partly reflecting the smaller pot and lighter overall build that comes with being made for hanging. If you're building out a wider faux greenery display, Furniture Tree's Artificial Plants and Planters range also includes that Boston Fern, a Monstera on a pole (11 and $16) if you want variety in texture and shape across the room.
